Can anyone compare it to somewhere else they have been? I was going to be in Ashville that weekend anyway so I may bring my Jeep if the place is worth the trip.
 
I haven't been there before. I'm told by the event organizers that it is a private ORV park. It's not huge but could be fun. You can see it clearly on a web map application like Bing Maps, Google Maps, etc.

from the pics I have seen it looks to be a mix of Gulches and River Rock.
 
I'll be there at the Overland Rally with my brother. I'm excited to see some of the training classes they have.
 
Is this rally public because thats the weekend I was referring to? Thats my anniversary weekend too so I will be killing two birds with one stone hopefully. I'm sure that will go over like a terd in a punchbowl.
 
So after being there for 4 days I would say the flats would make a great weekend trip for our club. Its 2.75 hours all backroads or faster if you take interstate. And there are trails for everyone. I would say avoid it if it is raining as many of the hills turn into bobsled runs. but they have some rocks, some mud and some trails. Could be a good time next time they have an open weekend to consider going to.
