Another chapter in the throttle pedal saga. I didn't drive it all summer. Decided to take it to run a couple errands at lunch today. It set the CEL and lost throttle after I floored it and backed off pulling out of the yard. I sat and played with resetting it and I can now repeat it and keep it from happening.
If I have the throttle slightly opened when I switch it on and start, it won't set the code and lose the pedal. If I let the throttle slap closed, it will set. So either the pedal sensor is traveling a little too far when closed or the throttle body isn't traveling far enough when closed. Could be some carbon buildup on the butterfly. But at least its repeatable now.
