hello just got my 4x4 about a month ago, its been a long time
used to have a 84 k5 had to sell it due to marriage and children
well kids are grown up now so I got back in to 4x4s
I got a 05 Chevy Silverado k1500 love it so far cant wait to build it up
pretty much stock right now but have plans Will send pics later
 
Nice welcome aboard. What gear ratio is it? rear gov loc? If you look at rpo codes on inside of glove box look for

G80 (Locker)
GT4 (3:73 gear)
GT5 (4:10 Gear)
GU6 (3:42 Gear)

If you get good at figuring how to engage the auto locker in the rear that truck will really surprise you.
 
Nah it's fine for now. I would do some cognito upper arms, tie rod stiffeners, add a leaf in rear, some good 285s, and rock sliders. Trail gear makes a set that will fit and look good. It only takes running over one log wrong to make you wish you had em. Warn has a nice kit to hide a winch behind the bumper too.
