231 transfercase

Im back to looking for a 231 for my wifes jeep.. the 242 she has is locked in 4hi. I guess it didnt like locker up front and its stuck. I had to pull the ds out to stop it from locking up.

looking to spend $100 on one..

Not sure but I know its the same as a 249 which I believe is medium. Reason I say this is that I needed to use a 7/8ths spacer to bolt my 300 to the 44re that the 249 came off of, but not 100% sure.
 
i havent pulled it out yet.. its stuck in 4hi..
dont know if the fork inside the case is stuck but i ll find out when i pull it off.
its a 91 so it should be 23 splines..
my pink jeep was a 23 spline xfercase same year as well.

As for selling the 242 .. yeah i ll sell it cheap . 242's are looked after for GC owners because of the full time 4x4 option with the 2wd as well.
 
I have a 231 out of a 2004 wrangler 6 cyl automatic 23 spline. It had about 83k mikes on it. $350
I am in Charleston.
