OSCAR X Awards and Activities Ideas

[97TJGUZZY]

In the past we have done a few awards. Should we do the same ones we did last year, or do you guys have any fresh ideas for these?

MacGyver
Evil Knievel
Lions Den Challenge
Wrong Way Challenge

Should we mix it up for OSCARX?

[LBarr2002]

MacGyver and Evil (or worse break) are always good. We've done old timers and farthest traveled. And most consecutive years.

Do you guys think Lions Den and Wrong Way Challenge should stay, or should we mix it up with something new this year?

[VOLT]

We definitely could use a humanitarian award or something along those lines for someone who went out of their way to assist others, whether it be with parts, recovery or so on.

The Nobel Piece Prize.

Youngest to attend? I may be juicing the pot on this one...

A rig specific award would be cool as well. Oldest, most unique, best old school, best new build.....just some ideas.

The Nobel Piece Prize.

Nobale Piece Prize

As in they didn't bale on you, or provided parts (@VOLT ). Although it's less funny if you have to explain it...

I always love the worst break and best repairs awards and the stories that go with them.

Both of those are usually a quality story. I'm interested to hear another activity or challenge that we could so as a group or that we can have people bring in their scores on Saturday night.

"You have to drive this home award"

[Twilliamson]

That time they did a engine swap in the campground with a winch and a tree.

Sourced from a local junkyard. There was also a transmission or transfer case rebuild with that rig that weekend.

Look at that beautiful rig in the background....

Yeah, they did an adapter in that rig the day before the motor let go.

That buggy was fire....

That buggy was fire....

Definitely miss it. But, couldn’t be where I’m at without turning it loose.

Motor was from a guys running car, and they had to redo the tcase the next on the flatbed of his truck in the rain

[Oldguy]

Zip tie weatherproof cards to the front of each rig and different shape hole punches to trees around the park that require the rig to pull up to the tree to reach the hole punch. Rig with most punches wins.

got the logos in for the Awards from last year. Figured i would post them up just to keep this going.

Again, these are just from last year, It sounds like we want to update for 2022. We have time to do that. Any other ideas? or do you guys feel strongly about one listed above?
